One of the most beautiful castles in the world towers high above Eisenach. As a world cultural monument, Wartburg Castle is closely associated with important events in German history, be it the legendary Singer's War or the translation of the New Testament by Martin Luther. In the museum you can admire numerous art treasures from many historical epochs.

The Rennsteig

The Bach House

Eisenach in Thuringia, Bach's birthplace, is home to the world's largest museum dedicated to the composer Johann Sebastian Bach - with a live concert every hour, more than 250 exhibits, historic living quarters, a baroque garden and a "walk-through piece of music".

The Lutherhaus

The Luther House in Eisenach is one of the oldest half-timbered buildings in Thuringia. According to an old tradition, Martin Luther lived in this house during his school days in Eisenach (1498 to 1501).

The Eisenach Theatre

Life, rather passionate.
It is a 5-minute walk to the theatre, which was commissioned by the Eisenach patron Baron Julius von Eichel-Streiber and built according to designs by the Leipzig architect Karl Weichardt and handed over on 1 January 1879.

Automobile World Eisenach

Experience the history of automobile manufacturing in the Wartburg city and visit the "Automobile Welt Eisenach" museum on the former factory grounds as well as the listed AWE main gate in the immediate vicinity.
